Let's talk about wide body's on the z4...

Hey Guys...

Me and my partner have been toying with the idea of designing an affordable widebody kit for the z4... we already started making a custom front bumper, as well as other body parts to make the z4 completely custom.

Now we came to an interesting question... how wide? we has suggesting 7cm, which is roughly 2.75" on each side...

Would that be enough, or overkill?

Now, what size of wheel would fit there? 19X12 et 20? What tire size?

Thanks,

Danny

Something similar to the LB kit but with more aggressive sides.

Also what ever happened to the OEM style diffusers that were supposed to be made?

That looks like the old style (Pre 2k) Z3 rear ends. Kind of interesting throwback. I would consider it if I tracked more or had another vehicle so that this one could be hacked. But for now it's not quite enough. I think whole rear bumper might do it a better look too (which is what people are screaming away from for 8 grand I believe).

Great job on these though.

Talking GTR Z4 Wide rear fenders

I like the GTR style too, but it can't be used by itself so it can end up being the same cost as the LB

Interested in the roadster part, with an even bigger duckbill type 'kick up' trunk spoiler (a la Amuse/Ericsson), wide rear fenders and bumper extensions, and complete replacement front fenders + bumper (maybe... I like the oem Z4M bumper).

For 5k, sign me up.
