I need an E86 in my life lol
I've been thinking of selling my E92 335i to buy another car(manual), and I'm stuck between a Z4 3.0si coupe and an S2k. I wouldn't regret buying either, but the more I look at these threads and pictures....the more I want an E86 haha. I blame you guys for posting gorgeous cars and awesome mods!

Yeah I normally see a few that fit my criteria for sale whenever I look. They do sell really fast though.

Ahh I wish lol. I considered an M coupe. Almost hopped on this specific M coupe from ZPost but couldn't sell my car in time. I can only afford the running costs of a 3.0SI at the moment. Here's a pic of the Z4MC I almost went for. So perfect

If you can, grab a Z4M coupe before they rocket up in appreciation. That said, both the M and the 3.0si are great cars, so ultimately you can't go wrong. GL!

I bought my Z4 3.0si Coupe almost 1 year ago. I've not regretted it one bit. Auto Trader shows 6 cars with manual transmissions. Get one.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Yeah I always see em for sale! I really want one with the m sport seats. I'll be listing my car for sale in the Spring, and then I'll start looking for my ideal E86

While the 3.0si is a fine machine there isn't much available for it in terms of performance mods. So don't buy one if you have mods in mind. |

Really? I don't really care too much about power mods anymore. But I've seen some forum members with good suspension mods and nice wheels!

No issues getting suspension parts for the 3.0si, it's engine mods and exhaust that's scarce. There's only a couple sources if you want an axle back or cat back exhaust system.

Yeah I've seen very few engine mods. Coming from an N54, it's gonna be weird going to an N52. But the switch to a car with a third pedal is so worth it . I'd probably do a muffler delete until I got headers. LOL I'm talking like I'm about to pick up a 3.0si tomorrow

You don't need HP mods on these. In fact more HP will likely just be a waste because the cars are so much "lighter" that you'll quickly run out of forward traction.
