10.5 Rear Wheels - Z4M

My rear Volk RE30 19" wheels that are 10.5" wide. I have 275 PS2s mounted and waiting for summer. Anyone else running rear wheels that wide? Did you require extra camber to get them tucked in? They fit the E46 M3 I bought them off of perfectly...

Thanks

I am running 19x10.5" volks CE28N's with 275 PS2's on my Z4MR take a look at the pics here http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184212

The rears wheels do stick out about 1/8" and would require camber adjustment to get them in. It's pretty slight and doesn't bother me so I haven't been inclined to adjust the camber yet.

Hope that helps.

umm...as far as i know it it will all depend of your offset.

just because you have a 10.5 rear width doesnt mean it will for sure stick out. you can have a 10.5 +40 and it will be "sunken" in more than a 10.5 +15 or so.

it seems the "usual" offset for a 10.5 rear is about +25, so list your offsets and people will be able to help you better

post pics asap, im interested to see what 19" re30's look on z4

I realize that just because the wheels have the same width deosn't mean they will fit the same. Assumed it is relatively common knowledge that both the CE28 and RE30 10.5" wheel have an ET25 in e46 M3 fitment which is the car Burt's wheels came from.

i figured. interesting to see that they dont make 10.5" rears anymore for euro cars:
http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/...modelName=RE30

10.5 is now only available in 18" unless they have a set in stock somewhere.

btw, love the TA wheels on your car!

My ENKEI track wheels are 18x10" ET25 with 275/35 rubber on stock suspension with -1.6deg camber and 0.15deg toe. No fitment issues but the rears do protrude a bit:

Okay...yes ET25. I might need a little camber then. I wonder what will get before I require extra adjustable camber parts for the rear end? If I do require adjustable bits, any recommendations?

JRagan- I like those Enkei wheel's too. Good job.

IMO, the ideal sizes and offsets for this car are:

19x10 +25 (a range of +23 to about +27 would work well and keep it flush)
19x8.5 +32 (a range of about +30 to +35 would work well and keep it flush)

I have the 19x10 +25/19x8.5 +32 conbo on my car and it is about as flush as possible and does not stick out or rub.

If you want to run 19x10.5 in the rear, you will want an offset of about +30 ideally to have it remain flush with the fender. +25 will definitely stick out slightly.

If you want to run a 19x9 in the front, then you will want an offset of about +39 to about +41 for a flush fitment.

I should have posted a follow-up. I thought it was odd b/c the guy that sold it to me had the wheels fitting perfectly. He told me they were 10.5 rears but I never really checked. I notice others with 10.5 having to run bigger camber to get them to tuck in and I started to get concerned...hence my post. I checked them a week or so ago and they were actually only 10 inches wide. The original owner was confused and I took his word for it. I sure am glad he was wrong.

Hey Burt, Just wondering why you'd want 10.5" rims if you're still only gonna run 275's ? I have 9.5's with 275's and they look good, plus they're lighter than a 10.5.

If you got them as a used set I get it...

Don't worry I was wrong b/c the guy that sold them to me said they were 10.5. They are actually 10 inch rims and the offset is perfect. I corrected myself up a few posts but it was my bad to take his word for it. The reason I assumed they would fit so well to begin with was b/c they did not stick out on his car...go figure they fit so well b/c he was wrong. Oh well, my good luck.

I will take a picture as soon as it clears up around here. Maybe this weekend??
