Maybe someone can comment with more knowledge cause I'm not super familiar with the Super sprints but I think so. I don't think they are functionally any different from Euro headers.

If that's the case, this will fix the issue. Basically since your headers don't have cats anymore, the post cat O2 sensors have no where to go. So instead, this modified set relocates the spot for O2 sensor behind the secondary cat.

I passed my last smog with Euro Headers and this modified section 1.

Wow! These would be quite useful for anyone with aftermarket headers who wish to keep the pesky CEL off, or if you're located in a state who still uses sniffer test for smog. GLWS!

I do want to ask, why did you go for the Euro headers if these were already doing the trick? I always thought the USDM S1 had smaller cats then Euro S1, so would actually flow better?

Appreciate the kind words. I assume you mean Euro Cats there, not Euro Headers.

That's correct, the NA section 1 has the smaller secondary cat and is better for performance.

I found a deal on EuroCats that also came with the hard to find longer Euro 02 sensors. The guys that did my install cut and extended my sensors (although I asked them not to) instead of the accepted method of extending the harness, so I've been wanting to replace them and it seemed like a good chance to swap to Euro OEM, in both section one and sensors.

I also just squeaked by on my smog. Now that I have an airbox and a MUCH richer tune, I have a feeling the smaller Cat isn't cutting it if I have to sniff again. Part of it is just me being anal and knowing I have the full OE setup now.

Slight hjijack (free bump!) but is there a part number for the longer OE Euro O2s?

NP. I believe it's here:

09 Oxygen sensor BOSCH/L=1390MM 1 11787837564
10 Oxygen sensor BOSCH/L=1340MM 1 11787837565

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...58&hg=18&fg=10

Finding them is an... interesting task. You can try to source them or do the very simple modification to your existing harness (basically just route your existing harness in a new direction) and use the existing US O2 sensors. I needed new O2 sensors anyway, otherwise, it's normally not worth it.

If you get Euro O2 sensors, you still need to run the harness down the back to meet the Euro O2's. You just don't need to open up the loom any further.

Yep, meant Euro cats/S1. Makes sense! Bump, good opportunity for someone who doesn't want to modify their stock S1.

So you did pass the CA sniffer test using Euro headers and your modified cat with an OEM tune? That opens up possibilities!

Yup Euro Headers, N/A secondary cat, and stock tune I passed. Before the airbox install and tune. Cant remember which reading it was but came a little close on one of them.

Lowered price since I'm looking for local pickup. Also comes with extended O2 sensors.
