H&R riding harder and harder

Not sure if I'm getting older, but it seems like my H&R coilovers have gotten much tighter over the 20k miles that I had them. I'm on 275/35/18 tires, so I have some sidewall.

One of the shocks had a small leak, but has stopped, and the others are fine. When the car is stationary, and I press hard on the corners, the suspension is stiff and bounces back immediately on one bounce.

Is there something wrong with the shocks, or are there any other tests I can perform?

Right now I'm just about to raise the car up another half an inch...

Man those wheels look great. What fitment?

Regarding your shock leaking and stopping leaking ... whats up with that? Are you sure it's not out of juice?

Well if your shocks were leaking, that would mean a blown shock, and that could be why.

You have done the proper test already. A bouncy corner means the shock is no longer doing its job.

The leak that stopped means the shock is finally dry inside.

so what are the symptoms of a "dry" shock? would it be more bouncy, or get really stiff?

When he says dry, he means all the fluid has leaked, that's why the leak has stopped. No fluid means no rebound damping, hence the bounce. Bouncy means time for new shock.

20k miles and you need new shocks... not really what i expect from H & R, i would be looking for some sort of goodwill.

Kw units are rebuildable... Are these??

Depending on road conditions, I believe it. OE shocks probably lose effectiveness around 40k and whenever I see aftermarket shocks being sold on classifieds, they usually have 20k on them (convenient time to sell) or owners will even state how one is in need of rebuild.
