3.0si: Michelin PS3 or Pirelli P Zero or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2?

Hello guys,
I am trying to decide what summer tires to get for my 3.0si: 225/40/R18 front and 255/35/R18 rear. I am now running Bridgestone Potenza RE 050A and to tell you the truth... I want more grip. I have narrowed it down to those three: Michelin PS3 or Pirelli P Zero or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, but would like to get some opinions on each from people who actually have driven with these tires and possibly compared between them. I really want to get the best one of the three, best one meaning most grip and dry and wet conditions.

Cheers!

I haven't tried the PS3 yet (are they out already?), but given my experience with PS2s I'm sure they'll be spectacular. I had Goodyear F1s on my Z4 roadster and loved them 0 much better than the run-flats good grip and wet weather handling. You can't go wrong with either.

However, I loathe the Pirellis. I had a set of P-zeros for a year and had to replace 3 of the 4 due to the sidewalls bubbling, yet despite the softness of the sidewalls the ride didn't seem better than my PS2s.

PS3's feel just like PS2's but have better wet performance. I swear by my PS2's, best investment spent on my car.

Remember PS3's are not the successors of the PS2's. The PSS's are (Pilot Super Sport).

You are correct, thank you, edited. 225 front and rear is the current set up, this is how I bought the car.

Can you please share your opinion of them once you've tried them, would be most appreciated. Btw, what tires do you have on now?

I've got still my winter wheels mounted (I know it is way to hot for winter tires )
But last summer I had the stock wheels and I didn't liked them.
I only have the car 1 year and I wanted to wait buying new tires untill I had new rims.
And now the have finaly arrived

I will definitly share my thoughts ... but I can compare only to stock tires

I was under the impression PS3 is equal to PS2 but better wet performance, and PSS is the successor in that it's the best driving tire

Well, given that the PSS is the lates Michelin has to offer, I might as well go with them. They appear to have the best grip in dry condition, and if they are supposed to replace PS2 and PS3 then wet performance should be high as well. I will have to see if someone is actually selling them in the right sizes here because so far I have managed to only find them in Porsche sizes.

I still would welcome some comments on them from people who have actually driven them, or are currently doing so.

OK, so the PSS is not yet available here in Bulgaria, probably will be for next summer. Until then I guess I will have to settle for the PS3.
