(Since this is a universal wing, I don't yet have any pictures on a Z4. However here are some examples of the wing and customizable supports used on different applications.) |

umm... seriously?
I'm thinking the wing would be more popular if it looked a bit less home-made. Like this.

If form is more important than function, your right. However, someone who is going to use a large wing on their car is likely more interested in functionality than having a pretty showpiece. The goal for most I believe would be a piece based on proven motorsports racing sucess... Keep in mind there will be more than one option for wing supports. While a wing at this height is ideal for functionality, the wing is also offered with supports that sit at the height of the orange z4 shown above, or lower. The wing can be shortened, the end plates will be offered smaller, the airfoil design can be customized. It just so happens that the pictures of the wing I have posted so far have been on racing applications, since this wing is designed for functionality on the track. I am offering this highly functional design with the option to lower the height and overall size of the wing, similar to what one would find on a car such as the Porsche GT3 RS. My goal in all of this is to allow for an "RS" like version of the Z4M to be made, something I believe I am not alone in wanting. Last edited by HBspeed; 10-09-2009 at 12:33 AM.. |
