Business CD & DSP
I just bought a 2004 BMW Z4 3.0i and want to get a Dice unit for it. I noticed that there is a model for Units with DSP and one Without. How do I know if I have DSP or not? Here is what I have listed on my build sheet.
0662 Radio: BMW Business CD 0677 HiFi System Professional 0692 CD-Changer I-bus preparation I have an option on the CD player to choose "Jazz/Concert" and other settings. I'm wondering if this is the DSP option? |

Hi Cabro,
from your post you do have dsp. However, you have to id whether it is digital or analog dsp. I have a dice adaptor and because my car had analog dsp I did not have to purchase the separate adaptor for it to work. Hopefully another member can identify based on your MY what type of dsp you have. Additional, I would check out reviews on dice if you have not already done so. Although I have one I am unsure if it's the best option around. Hope this helps abit. |

Hi Cabro,
I looked at your MY and you have digital dsp so you'll need that additional adaptor kit. Like I said before however, I would look into other alternatives besides the dice. |

To be honest I'm trying to research some other alternatives myself. Hopefully someone on the board can suggest something else. I know that a few people on this board do swear by the intravee

Avoid the DICE entirely. It is a POS. Mine works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Never been more frustrated with a product. But read the truth for yourself on this link:
http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=151359 There is another product, USA Spec, which has good reviews. Crutchfield sells it for $170 but the best price I have seen is here: http://www.audiosavings.com/products...d4366e&r=#tab5 |

I highly recommend either the OEM iPod adapter, or the Intravee II if you have navigation. Here's my video review of the intravee II. |

Hi Cabro,
search for aux in on this forum or on bimmerfest or bimmerpost. Their are a couple of ways to install an aux in. A specific kit is made for the z4 that places the aux in within the ashtray. Other people have used e46 aux in kits and other various parts to put together their own solutions. |
