soft top problem

has anyone removed/replaced the soft top locking mechanism (picture #23)? Any ideas?

I haven't but I will be disassembling my soft top in the next couple of weeks to fix a broken bolt. Can take picture for you.

I've taken apart the entire interior without a snag but this thing is throwing me for a loop.
