How to use DVD Service Manual

I just purchased the following Service Manual but have no idea how to use it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-Z...sQ5fLiterature

Has anyone else here purchased this? As far as I can tell there is no general or Part # search. I just purchased a "Throttle Boot" to replace my cracked one and can't seem to find any way to navigate this program to find out how to replace it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install?
See if these instructions are applicable to what you have,

Insert CD into CD drive.

Go to the directory – win95BMWTIS

Double click setup.exe to install sysadm.

Follow the on screen instructions to complete setup.

Now sysadm is setup you can install TIS.

Run sysadm from the desktop or START ProgramsBMW95.

From the menu at the top click TIS and then INSTALL.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the install.

Uh I got my copy through "alternative sources" but if the DVD is identical, there must be a word file with the instructions on the disk.

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear. I was able to install the run the program fine. However, I have no idea how to use it other than going through a list of "symptoms".

Does it not have a keyword or part # search feature?

Click on "Vehicle Identification" in top menu then "Documents" in lower right corner. From there on you should get what you want by selecting the right options through a series of successive lists, like RealOEM.com's system.

Thanks for the help so far.

For example though. I have a throttle boot I need to replace, how would I find out how to do that through this program?

As far as I know there is no way to search for keywords so you just have to follow the menues. I am not sure what the throttle boot is but assuming it's party of the throttle, I'd go to Repair Instructions > Fuel System > Throttle and Operation.

NP It's not the most intuitive UI.
