Akebono Euro Ultra-Premium Ceramic
Hey guys, I don't track my car, strictly street driving. I haven't heard that much about them lately, but a few years back, Akebonos were all the rage. For the criteria of:
1. Very Low Dust 2. Quiet 3. Similar to OEM stopping Are the Akenobo Euro Ultra-Premium Ceramic still the go-to brake pad for this set of requirements, or has something surpassed them? Thanks! Salty

I have these on my X5 and Z4MC and like them a lot. Much more linear braking modulation than OE - highly recommended. These are similar to Axxis Deluxe Ceramic, which can no longer be found

I still have these on all my cars. You lose the initial bite which I never need on the street, and gain all the advantages you listed above.
I did tried the Stoptech ST on the Zed for a while. It's the middle of the road dustier between OE pads and Akebono. I was trying to serve dual duty though. For just street, I'll stick with Akebono.

I have these on the X1 and they are miles ahead of oem. With oem the front rims were black in a week, with these I have driven 3 weeks and still clean. Stopping power is more or less the same on initial bite but wet and once warm they are better.
I have stop tech street performance on the 328i and they are better all around than the akebono but I couldn't get them for the x1.

I have the Akebonos on the Son's Ram 1500 and the Wife's Expedition.
Love 'em. I run ceramics on the trucks to reduce squeal, which gets pretty bad at high mileage. Usually, like with Duralast Gold, I sacrifice a lot of grip, but the Akebonos grip at least as good as stock. Running the StopTechs on the Z. Like ZeD4Mr said, they're slightly less dusty than stock. Still pretty dusty.
