Yes, or spokes on a front wheel of your first tricycle, that's what strikes me when I look at those, sorry guys, I liked the previous rims much better; on a different note we just had a major 6.0 shaker with epicenter 9 miles away from the house (3:20:44am Sunday), no power, not sure about damage yet but the Z car made out ok

He painted it. Check his profile for threads he started, I think he may have done a thread about it.

My roof is painted jet black. No going back for me since it looks much better with the black roof so i decided to paint it. Also looks much smoother than gloss vinyl does. I had the roof of my e90 wrapped black and it wasn't nearly as nice

The fronts will stick out a lot and the rears will stick out but not as much. If you are lowered they will rub like crazy.

I like the CSL/replicas BUT, in my opinion, the whole look of the car is not only provided by the actual wheel but also the rotors and calipers. Although I would actually consider buying CSL's, I feel they cover the brake kit quite a bit. Z4M OEM brakes are big enough to be shown off. Those with Big break kits should stand out even more which is why I stick with OEM wheels. I like the split spokes. I plan on powder coating them black and the calipers yellow. Not gonna lie though, the pics in this thread make me feel left out cus they're so good looking

My car has those big open 108 rims and you can certainly see the large rotors and calipers. [And you can also see how ratty looking the calipers are getting despite my attempts to clean them. I guess some form of painting / powder coating will happen in the future, even if its a relatively plain silver color. Painting is a drag because you have to pull the wheel and mask almost everything, and powder coating requres caliper removal. There are caliper covers that can be color matched to the car but most folks think those are very "poser" even if they do clean up the look quite a bit.]
Other than the 108, my favorite wheel on these cars are the CSLs and the 107 OEM ellipsoid rim - that one is classic IMHO. I'm frequently tempted to grab aset of either.
