Sportline CSL Reps - thoughts?

I've been contemplating putting CSL-style wheels on my car for a while now, and had always preferred the OEM ZCP ones. Then Sportline came out with their reps with a pretty serious weight advantage and now I am tempted..

Problem being, that they are a company I have never heard of, so I'm a bit apprehensive, and the weight reduction seems almost too good to be true.

The most detailed discussion I could find: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...post1065081437

I searched and they haven't been mentioned much here: What would you think? If you were in the market for CSL-style wheels, would you go for it?

i was considering them as well before i bought some morr vs8.2's. great wheel but the finish was kinda plain, and the silver is kinda white looking even next to the vmr's.

it is, but doesnt look as good when done in silver. i dont take my m offraoding or on gravel roads. debris will quicker hit the sideskirts than the rim anyways.

thye are nice wheels, and the weight savings are great. i just dont like the finish

First I've heard of this brand; and liking what I'm seeing!
I don't expect replica wheels to be ultra-lightweight, but they don't need to be boat anchors either (VMR). I like the TE-37 reps too

I was just pointing out their grammatical error haha. My dad and most of his car friends swear that powder coating is not as good as a good paint job. I don't have experience with it though.

I like them. Im looking for something in the $1500 range. And I dont want to deal with Modbragins. Like the Apex's but there is no concave in the front wheels w/o going real wide.

I haven't got them yet, need a couple of months or so, i'm shipping them from the US to my home country.

I have a pic of the actual rim uncovered, and boy does it look flugling great.
Shiny and very refined.

I think this might become more expensive in the future.

Thank you **********s and in particular Alan, the level of service is beyond real, alan even helped me ship a set of nitto NT05 to florida.

As u can see folks ive been busy, u cant go wrong with a kw v3 afe intake, diablos, forged wheels and a set of nt05

Ill post pics when i have every thing installed.

The sportline wheels are the real deal, forged wheels, lighter than CSLs perfect fitment and for 949 on 18s, theres just nothing comparable in terms quality/price

I've been away from the forums for a while, and I just saw this thread. I have the CS.16's on my supercharged 3.0i. I haven't been able to drive it enough to give a thorough review, but initial impressions are that the wheels are outstanding for the price. The offsets are more aggressive than stock, though not overly aggressive. IMHO the 225/255 tires look slightly stretched on the wheels, though that's not a bad thing at all, and I actually prefer it. I would take some pictures, but the car is about an 8 hour drive away at the moment .

I love them, but I want black wheels to match the theme of the car (CF emblems/grills, M bumper, black top, Tekarbon headlights). I'll look at getting their Volk reps and swapping them out; they may be for sale soon. I paid $950 plus shipping from **********s, 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. I don't remember the offsets but could find them for those interested.

Edit: Meh, just saw that the TE-37 reps aren't offered in 5x120 or 18's.

Finally got around to taking some pictures of the Sportline CS.16's on the car.

Front - 18x8.5 ET35 | Dunlop Star Specs 235/40/18
Rear - 18x9.5 ET22 | Dunlop Star Specs 265/35/18

**********s was great to deal with, shipped them quickly and safely.

I think they'll look more proper when I get the Eibach springs installed.
