floor mats
I have a set of Z4 floor mats (which I'm selling), but I wanted to see what kind of floor mats everyone had. I searched through some threads, but didn't really see anything on it. I'm thinking of getting the rubber BMW floor mats, but I just wanted to see what my options were. Thank you in advance.

I bought these for my wife for her birthday, much better than the OEM mats. She doesn't like rubber mats so they were not an option.

I'm still running the OE mats that came with the Moupe. Overall it is still in great shape but there is a little wear on the pad for my right heel. Not enough to make me replace it yet, though. I'd probably seek the OE mat again, though. I don't need rubber mats since it's a spring-fall car.

For whatever reason, the OEM mats wear out quickly for me. Like the Cocomats. They wear like iron, and there are many color combos available. Fit is A+++.

I second Coco mats. They're incredibly sturdy. My car was in their Roundel ad a few months back.
Edit: And if anyone is interested I have an as new set of Black/Blue dot Coco mats for sale. I was asking $90 plus shipping but we can talk. I don't see ever having a use for them since I'm now using a black/orange dot to match my interior.

One more for Cocomats. Great looking and very well made. I love mine.
And $90 for a set is a great deal if black/blue is your color. Would look awesome. Second runner up would be the rubber OEM or Weathertech branded mat. |

I appreciate the quick replies. I'm looking for the "blackest" mat possible..haha. I don't know if I want "BMW" or "Z4" on them this time around..maybe a plain black mat or glossy black mat.

Thanks! Looks great. That's exactly what my M's interior looked like before the swap (not just mats, the whole interior) and those are the exact mats I'll be ordering for my ZHP when I get around to it.

Those of you thinking of buying cocomats - be sure to order the "genuine" ones from cocomats.com, not any of the knockoffs on Ebay or other cheeseball automotive sites. The only ones (I'm aware of) of impeccable quality are the ones from the boys at cocomats.com. No affiliation, just a very happy, long-term, repeat customer.

I have a set of the cocomats as well and I like them too. I got their red ones and they match up pretty well with the Dream Red interior. I found that if I am wearing sneakers or something like that, they are okay. However, if I am wearing dress shoes, I notice that the cocomats wear the leather off the left rear portion of my right shoe. Probably mostly due to the way my foot is positioned when driving. You can't beat the looks of the cocomats though. Now, I use the OEM mats most of the time.

Hehe. FYI: I also have a set of OEM Z4 mats in nearly new condition if anyone is interested in those. Sorry to threadjack again. I'm just getting more interest from this thread than I had from the for sale thread I put up.

I have the OEM carpet mats covered by the OEM rubber mats. I actually don't care for the rubber mats. I have had these: http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/79A4424A0A0.aspx
in two other cars and should have gone with them again in the BMW. The Lloyds are thinner and more flexible. They also trap moisture and debris from your feet really well. For $50 a set I highly recommend them. Last edited by chickdr; 01-23-2013 at 02:34 PM.. |
