I'd like to hear one of these kits. I'm not the biggest fan of supercharger whine, so it makes it all the more tempting...

I will be in Northern CA mid August and early September. We can meet up if you would like to check it out.

You can heare a little "supercharger noise" at low RPM's. You can blip the throttle and hear the whistle. It is subtle, but sounds good. At High RPM's, you here a great deal of growl and bark coming from the engine bay. It sounds very strong, but any "supercharger noise" at high RPM is drown out by the RPI exhaust.

The RPI exhaust was perfect for me while the M was N/A. I am now thinking about going with a more mellow exhaust, so I can hear more sound from the engine bay.

I'm hoping in my roadster I'll get more noise, I love the rpi and really don't want to loose it.

I think you will because your trunk space is isolated from the cabin. The majority of the noise from my exhaust seems to resonate from the hatch.

I'm still on the fence.

I also ceramic coated mine black to tie it in to the rest of the car.
I will give you first dibs if I do end up selling it.

I am finishing a small project right now to try and insulate the back, if it works I will keep the RPI exhaust.

thanks,
Chris

Yes, I was instructed to do the 1st oil change for the blower @ 2.5k miles.

You should get a photo of the blower next to a Coca Cola can or something for a size comparison.

ok i will do, but i agree with you btw the kit is as good if not better than the oem items, amazing workmanship on the intake manifold also! the supercharger itsself is a work of art with the integral oil lines, dip stick and drain lines, fabulous. we seem to have different blow off valves?? did you upgrade yours?

Not an upgrade, just a different brand. I believe mine is the one ESS will be using for the US kits.

I removed the old picture and posted a more clear photo of the engine bay after the install.
