FS: 3.91 REM Polished Ring & Pinion
I bought this a while ago but I've decided to focus on other parts of the car. It is REM polished to reduce friction thus reducing differential temperatures. It is the 3.91 variety which I feel gives the best balance between added performance and acceptable highway cruising revs (3.91@80MPH = 3500RPM vs 3.62@80 = 3300RPM). As I'm sure you know, this is a phenomenal upgrade that yields impressive results. It is arguably the most economical way to give your car quite a bit of additional get-up-and-go. Installation costs around $1000 at a reputable shop and, with the cost of the R&P included, you stand to save at least $1000 over buying a whole new differential with this gearing. This goes for $800 at Turner w/o polishing which is a $195 option at Diffsonline. I'd like $650 plus shipping.

Back up for sale...
Hi Folks,
I purchased this from Jared and realized my diff on my '05 3.0 is 3.07, not 3.46 like the automatic 3.0s are... Shame on me for not researching I'll be happy to sell the unit for the same cost I paid for it. It is a hell of a deal. Z4M and Z4MC owners -- this ring & pinion set is for you!!! Thanks, Chris

Jared mentions "I bought this a while ago but..."
I don't see any mention whether it's new or used? & if used; how much use?

I never installed it but it is a used part. The story is that the guy I bought this from knows a race shop that rebuilds their differentials literally every time they do an event. The guy takes the ones that are good (rarely are these parts bad, actually), cleans them up, ensures proper functionality and sells it. The condition is like-new since this is REM polished which not only reduces friction but also increases strength.
