^ Can you explain in detail your throttle intake modications? Im needing a new Disa valve ($330 locally), and if I can bypass that stupid little thing with something almost fail safe that would boost performance: I'd much rather go that route then replacing the OEM valve.

I dont recommend swaping out the intake manifold if you are N/A it will lose torque on the bottom end. On my 330i E46 I replaced the disa valve for fairly cheap. I found a seller on ebay that sold brand new ones for under 100 bucks. Do a search for "e46 manifolds" for an e46. You should be able to find something.

I found little to no info on g-power's setup. They have a nice article but that’s about it. The compressor they use looks awesome.

Active autowerks has a setup that’s has a smaller compressor (Rotrex C38-71) that is accessory belt driven. Mine is crank driven. They are running an ms45 compatible setup though. Their cost for a stage 2 is in the neighborhood of 8 grand.

At the moment my cost is under 5 grand because I had a few extra parts lying around already. I had my own compressor. RMS is giving a good deal on the extra stuff they have to fabricate. Its taking a little longer than I initially planned since I only get 2-3 hr of work time a week.

They are going to produce a production ready stage 2 kit but the intake manifold swap would not normally be included in the kit. This is something extra I wanted to do. I am also putting in an aftermarket exhaust manifold afterwards.

I have a M45 (2003-2005) that produces 225-235 depending on which specs you go by. It is an aluminum block. The N52 (2006-2008) with the magnesium block produces 215 hp. Active’s kit runs about 9psi and they are producing 340ish hp to the wheels. ESS’s TS2 does about 300 to the wheels.

It is unsafe for me to boost more than 10psi without block work. The pistons aren’t designed for that kind of boost. Depending on dyno numbers, if I decide to boost more I’m going to build the motor.

I should be able to finish installing everything this weekend. I lost some nuts and bolts so I had to go to the dealer to buy some.

Cool project good luck with it Our TS2 kit has an intake manifold with integrated high capacity Laminova based liquid intercooling system. The cooling system uses a high capacity front mount heat exchanger.

Here is a dyno of our TS2+ 8.5 psi on a Z4 3.0i.

thnx Rom3n

The TS2+ with the built in intercooler is a little more than what I wanted to spend. So far my build is still under 5k. Not a typical build since I got lost of parts for free or really cheap. I've been collecting spare parts for about a year now.

I gotta say my fav part about the TS2+ setup is that you get to retain the stock airbox. I'm a big fan of the stock airbox. Also like that with a little work you can hide the compressor. If I had the cash I think I would have done a complete TS2+ with built internals. How much boost can the twin screw compressor run?
