I'm also wondering if there's a 9psi upgrade option available. I'm guessing with larger injectors, it shouldn't be an issue, and the software would probably adapt by itself. I'm already at 8psi

I need the 500 kit intercooler hose as well, Since i haven't started my install, maybe you can ship it out to me in these 2 days if it's readily available?
Should make it a hell lot easier since i will be installing it with my mechanic and a few people lined up to watch for information purposes.

I know I know, but if it will make it easier, i'd rather just buy the 1 piece hose.

When talking about upgrades, i am against upgrading into 525hp injectors and tune. I'd rather blow more money and go for built motor. Plus, i haven't installed the kit yet, so i don't know how the 500 will behave, i bet for a year or so it will be plenty for me.

Well according to AJ i should be making 525+ with 8 psi boost.
What is left to check is the tuning expertise and how true these statements are. i have no doubt at this point after seeing all the Z4M ESS cars including your ride.

AJ seemed very confident that my car is able to pull that kind of power, knowing that my engine should be healthy and the exhaust is decent.

Both of these requirements are met since my engine has been revised and will be in case of anything that is not up to spec (compression, rod bearings, valves, pistons, ...)
My exhaust is a EURO header --> emptied section 2, stock Xpipe and RE El diablo mufflers which is very close to what the ESS kit was tested with.

I could only find 2 grey bosch injectors, one was full grey and the other was grey with black head and the difference between the 2 is that one is 55 lbs and the other is 50 lbs. 10% increase.

15lbs = Gray top injectors

19lbs = Yellow (or sometimes referenced as Orange) top injectors

19lbs = Solid Orange "skinny" injectors

21lbs = Solid Light Purple "skinny" injectors

22lbs = Violet top injectors

22.5lbs = Blue & Black top w/ Silver body injectors

24lbs = Sky Blue top injectors

25lbs = Solid Black "skinny" injectors

25lbs = Solid Light Blue "skinny" injectors (Ford Navigator)

27lbs = Solid Light Gray "skinny" injectors

30lbs = Red top injectors

36lbs = Brown top injectors (low impedence, used in the 4 cyl Turbo vehicles)

36lbs = Dark Blue (Colbalt Blue) top injectors

36lbs = Solid White "skinny" w/ rectangular connector injectors

39lbs = Solid Blue "skinny" injectors (Blue Giant) (Ford rates this at 39lbs, flow rate is actually 42lbs)

42lbs = Lime Green top injectors

42lbs = Solid Green "skinny" injectors

48lbs = Beige top injectors (found on 85 CFI 5.0's)

50lbs = Gray top injectors

55lbs = Black w/ Gray top injectors

65lbs = Purple top injectors

160lbs (1600cc) = White top injectors w/ black body

I might consider buying some of your old injectors, assuming they are 50 lbs.

Looks like the ESS VT2-525 for Z4M is now official:
http://www.esstuning.com/products/Z4...er-System.html

However, I have a few notes:
- There should be no transmission option to choose from, Z4M only comes in manual
- I have been previously informed by both Roman and AJ in this thread and outside that the Z4M platform doesn't support the E-flash yet it is widely advertised in the link above. Can you please reconfirm ? is the e-Flash supported or not?

IF yes, I will be very frustrated as i had to spend a lot of money to send my ECU all the way from the middle east to Arizona. please let me know so that I can purchase cable to be included with the ECU on the way back.
If not, please update the website to represent correct data.

Very much so, ESS has always had a greater advantage when it comes to tuning.

So basically, what the price to upgrade to VT2-525 if I already have the VT1-445?

Do I need to send my DME?

It would be great if I can do this mod before the Time Attack season begins

Hi EAS, ESS owners, ESS sent me intercooler brackets that belong to E46 M3, can you please measure the intercooler brackets your have as well as take angles so that i can fabricate it locally?

I also need the length of the intercooler pipe bracket

I also need pictures of both intercooler pipes (sc to i/c and i/c to intake) taken from below the car as well as from above so that I know how to install them.

I was sent an e46 M3 manual as well. so i don't know how this will fit exactly.

ESS should be able to provide you the needed info, since you already have the parts. If not, we can check on ours next time its up on the lift.

It was awesome having you guys.

Steve seriously would not get off the track that day. This thing held up nicely, only thing he ever came off for was gas and was right back on track.

Taking Freshly Installed VT-2 525 to Roebling Road tomorrow

I'm finishing up the install of my upgrade kit , taking me from Vt-1 to Vt-2 525 this afternoon and will be giving it a proper track shake down on Saturday. I liked the VT-1 but especially in the southern heat and humidity it lost a ton of torque especially toward the end of a 25 min session (despite good oil temps with a E63 M6 oil cooler). Thus after two years of tracking it in Vt-1 trim I decided to upgrade (I didn't like the idea of 200 degree intake air temps anymore either). I have a ton of time at Roebling so I'm pretty darned quick there , so I will give it a proper thrashing. I will report my peak oil temps, delta on my straight speed vs the old kit ( best ever was 147mph on 50 degree morning by Aim Solo gps ) and total lap time delta ( best 1:20.8).The straight will be interesting as I redline in 5th at 147 with my 4.1 gears , so i will have to shift to 6th . Stay tuned....
Cheers
George
