At this time, I'm announcing the official Group Buy for the CF Z4 E86 roofs. production has begun.

For those that may have missed the previous thread building up to this, I'll clarify the build.

These are full carbon fiber built bolt-on ( like factory OEM) replacement panels.

These are price pointed at $1,450.00 each ( plus shipping) during the GB. Once the list is completed retail pricing will override the GB price and vendors may place orders for their stock as well.

NOTE: Group buy price effective till year end or Dec 31 2013. I have taken a long time to come to market so I feel I should be fair for those who waited for pictures to decide.

My website is under development so these will all be Paypal payments when possible.

A few questions I'm sure some other people are thinking:
Will these need to be sealed or do they have a seal built in?
Is it a one time use seal or can it be popped on and off to the hearts desire?
Weight estimates?

Final weight depends on the options chosen. Seal choice and Kevlar + honeycomb core can add weight. More detail to come in the next few weeks.

I'm running these currently and plan on boxing/shipping 2 each week. I'm sure the first few weeks will experience some delays with jigging etc. But this will smooth itself out.

Me too Ian. I've actually just resigned from my engineering job and I'm out of corporate life for good ! I can now fully focus on composites design.

Recommend you put the relevant info others are asking about in the first post of this thread, so customers aren't trying to dig through 18 pages of forum banter to answer basic install questions. For further info beyond the basics, refer them to the thread.

I've decided to hold out for your moonroof product! For that reason please remove me from this list. I hope the liner doesn't give you too much trouble as an OEM style finish is essential.

Ok, sounds good. I'll pull your spot. The moonroof headliner shouldn't disappoint. I'm modifying a stock liner panel and following previous lines/cues. The OEM fabric will be a challenge I'm sure.

I'm interested in how the moonroof turns out. Especially what the headliner looks like, and if the roof will be easily detachable or not.

Visualize the headliner you have now, minus the center section. That area will be blended with swift merge lines to allow the most viewing open space while retaining nice lines.
