FS: Ground Control coilovers for Z4M

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1,280.00

Item Interest
Selling:

Ground Control coilover kit:

• GC front camber plates (hybrid version with polyurethane pad cushioning to lessen noise & vibrations)
• GC Koni S/A front struts (sport version)
• GC Koni S/A rear adjustable shocks (sport version)
• Rogue Engineering rear-shock mounts (without the upper plates; you will need to source the upper plates from Rogue Engineering yourself - $35)
• 440lbs front springs (GC-spec Eibach springs)
• 500lbs front springs (GC-spec Eibach springs)
• 525lbs rear springs (GC-spec Eibach springs)
• 550lbs rear springs (GC-spec Eibach springs)
• GC rear control-arm reinforcement plates
• GC rear ride-height adjustors
• GC rear spring top mount (the inner rubber lining is slightly chewed up, but worked for me without any issue)

Condition:

All 4 dampers are in very good condition and work properly with no noise. Front camber plates are quiet as well. My GC kit has never been tracked on. I drive fairly gently in the streets and don't get enough use & benefits out of these coilovers, and my gf prefers a more comfortable ride as well.

Prices:

$1280 USD/CDN shipped, with both sets of springs
$1200 USD/CDN shipped, with 1 set of springs

$1200 CDN local pick-up in Vancouver, B.C., with both sets of springs
$1120 CDN local pick-up in Vancouver, B.C., with 1 set of springs

Pics will come this weekend after I get a chance to wash them and take photos.

Hrm, after last weekend's track day, I've been semi-seriously looking at suspension upgrades and might be interested in these....

Few questions:
1. How many miles/years is on this set?
2. How does the ride compare to OEM with 440/525 front/rear? NorCal isn't known for terribly smooth roads.
3. How much does this lower the car? I don't want too much of a drop.

I can help answer because I also run a 440/525 GC set on my M Coupe. Ride not considerably rougher than stock, but ride quality is reduced a little bit, i think due to the linearity of the springs. You don't need to lower your car with these... you can run stock height. That is sort of the point of adjustable coil overs.
