Now I got hit

Got my car 3 weeks ago and now this.
Accident 8-14.2010 at 12:40 pm
As I was leaving the parkinglot at the Cipotle Mexican Restaurant in Springfield Mo 3356 S. Campbell, a female in a 04/06 Pontiac Grand Prix Mo # PB4-N9F backed out of a parking spot without looking for traffice and hit my Car on the right rear fender.

I got out of my Car and couldn belive it! I ask her whats wrong with you ? Than she started crying, so I calmed down and exchanged information.
Dropped the Car of at the BMW dealer in town to get fixed and they gave me a loaner for now.

Man what a messed up day

( yes the Rimm was also damaged by the hit )

not sure if your rim was fudged as a result of the hit but if not, at least u can claim a new rim. sorry to hear, but at least nobody got hurt and it looks like minimal cosmetic damage. best of luck man!

Yea I belive that it will take time to get fixed. I have another car I can use. The bumper needs to be replaced, I dont thingh its fixable, because 4 of the plug ins, that hild the bumper up are torn out.
Guess they got to replace the whole bumper, that would be the right thing to do. And fix the wheel too.

Yes true, nobody got hurt.
The damge is npot to bad, but still the bumper needs to be replaced , unless they can fix it ? I dont care actually how they do it, i just know it will take them forever.

But besides that, I test drove the Z4M today after I dropped the damaged Z off.

That was stress relive

sorry to hear about the accident, i can imagine how it must've felt, especially since u just got ur beautiful new machine recently. hopefully the dealership provides comprehensive repairs and not try and skimp on it.

in parking lots especially, i drive pretty slow and am always wary of people backing out. tt's why we should all reverse park!

Damn! Another one? What's wrong with people? I swear we need to tighten up the driving requirements in this country--any fool can get a license and they do get them.

I hope the repairs are quick--but I think you're right, you may need a new bumper. I'm not familiar with those wheels--are they still in production? I hope so, because you should get a new one of those as well.

Kind of OT, but I used to live in Springfield. Is that Chipotle where Mazzio's pizza used to be? Forgot to add my condolences.

Sorry about the crappy news!!!

That rim is a style 108 rim like mine. I just had to replace one (rear) on my 3.0si and it had to be shipped all the way from Germany; took three very long weeks! Let's hope they took the opportunity to send over a couple more so you won't have to wait that long!

Cheers!

Sorry to hear about the hit man. I think an accident is coming for all of us one day...sooner or later, no matter how careful we drive. =( At least no one was hurt.

I still have a house in Springfield..........greetings neighbor !

Anyway....looks like that rim is only surface damage and not bent...is that correct ?

The rear cover could easily plastic weld and repaint .....no need for a new one really.

A reputable body shop could cover these service's below your deductible in all seriousness.

Sorry for the hit bro'.....I have an SI in the same color and I affectionately call it pavement Grey .....its almost invisible to other drivers, lol.

-Cheers,Vinny
