tire choice
I am about to mount my MORRs on my M coupe and I am shopping for tires. It seems that the PS2 is by far the most expensive one, about 25% more than the Goodyear f1s. has anybody tried the Goodyear ones?

Might want to specify which Goodyear Eagle F1's you're talking about, as there are many versions of the Eagle F1's. The UHP being the Asymmetrics. They're supposed to grip better than the Michelin PS2's, but are also extremely heavy. 265/275 19" weighs 29~30lbs compared to the PS2's 25~26lbs.

I've got the Asymmetrics and love them. They take a little longer to get heat in them than the PS2's, but once they've got it you're golden.

All depends on what you are going to be doing with the vehicle and what you want out of the tires. The best performing tire may not be the quietest tire (often aren't) so which are you looking for?
The absolute best bang for the buck performance tire is the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec but is only available in limited sizes... The PS2s are popular but are also known for having very soft sidewalls which could lead to bending the wheel instead of just blowing out the tire if you hit a pot hole.

I think that I've read this about PS2s before...I ended up ordering the asymmetrics at a good price. Thanks for your input.

I have no idea how they directly compare to the FK-451's I used to have on my old 330Cic, but mine ran quite narrow and were atrocious in the wet and not in the same league as the PS2 and F1 Asymmetrics IMO. The 452's are the newer model so they could have been improved. Falkens in general run narrow though.
