6th ///M Car

This "analog BMW" is one of the best I have ever owned from a pure driver's perspective!

6 spd manual, the awesome S54, and a set of BBS CH … PS see my sig for reference

That's the conclusion I came to well over two years ago. Get an analog car!

In an increasingly digital world with cars that incorporate synthetic sounds to enhance the driving experience an analog car with a naturally aspirated engine that can scream at the appropriate rpm levels coupled with steering that provides feedback is an escape to a time not long ago.

And congratulations on the ride with many enjoyable miles ahead.

No new cars interest me in the slightest (realistically of course, wouldn't mind a P1 lol). I think I officially married my Z4M, going to drive it until it blows, put a new motor in from Lang, and drive it another 10 years. No debt, and owning what you love is the best place to be in life.

Congratulations...that's a beautiful car.
I picked up Z4M over M2....steering alone keeps it above all new M's

Interesting ... i turn the big 5-0 in a couple of months and was going to go to Munich with my wife for a euro-delivery M2 ... however "all in" it was going to be about $80k CDN. I got a nice X4 for the wife and a super nice Z4M-R for the same price.

Driving wise there is nothing like a n/a BMW ///M car

Heck, even compared to my E36 M3, the Z4M is even rawer. The stiff steering, clutch and gearshifts really does make it feel like a beast from a different era. Not to mention the view from the drivers seat with the massive hood just never gets old.

I really do love the Z4MR. Along with my E36 and E92 M3, they're all keepers. I keep getting tempted by the M2CS, but it'll probably cost as much as what I paid for all my Ms combined

Lol...that's a good view point.
I'm sure M2 is hell lot of fun in it's own class....I test drove one too.
But u can't beat X4 & Z4M in the same price )

The closest to my beloved Red Roadster was my 02 Honda S2000 with OZ rims, aftermarket exhaust that freaking screamed just before the 9,250 RPM redline....

The lines, style, quality, handling, power and FUN of the Z4M is awesome - paid it off a year and a half ago and just performed Insp II and major suspension upgrades....handles like its on rails.

My 2006 silver gray Z4MC was a Kelowna car until 2013. In 2015 I bought it from the 2nd owner in Quesnel and drove over Hwy 97C to Penticton on my first day of ownership. Fun drive in a great car.

Have to admit that if I lived in Kelowna a roadster would be more tempting!

Correct. But I figured as much as I liek the M2 (even the base), it doesn't add anything to what I already have. The E36 still has a more entertaining chassis, the E92 has a better engine, and the Z4M just has a better experience (all IMO of course). Hell, I couldn't imagine what the car must feel like with all the mods you got on yours!

Looking at a G30 5er lease instead. That way I can be comfy, and mod all the toys till my heart is full

IMHO, the Z4MR is still one of the best kept secrets out there. The Coupes' prices have already sailed, while Roadies are still bottoming out.

The coupe is awesome but like you noted the prices are already large ... i am the second owner of my car and it only has 35,000km or less that 22k miles, so i am planning to at least breaking even on this car over the next few years ... that would be a first!

That's a keeper right there! Congratulations on the find. You've had some amazing M cars!
