Key In Ignition Door Beep
I've tried to figure out the coding system you can download to alter settings on a Z4, but I'm completely inexperienced and can't quite understand how it all works.
Thus, does anyone know anything about how to change the settings on the car to turn off the obnoxious sound when the key is in the ignition with the door open? There was a guy local to me in San Diego that did BMW coding but he has moved on and I couldn't find anyone else nearby. Many thanks chaps! |

I used the main DIY coding thread on E90Post to start and once I got going with that it was pretty much the same for coding with my Z4M. Annoying key beep gone. It can be a tricky process getting everything installed but if you have any specific questions I can try to answer them for you.

Perhaps this is in the wrong section as well. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's just been tricky locating all the software I need. I think I found the right cable on eBay. It was about $25 if I remember correctly.
