Here is how I'd attack it and whenever I have problems on my turbo M3, this is my methodology:
1) Vac test.....usually, in boost, the engine will run rich because the accounted for air is leaking out in boost, but the fuel has already been provided...still, always check first and eliminate this as a potential issue...many people also want to assume away this problem...smoke test!
2) Fuel pressure check...what should it be idle, accelerating, in boost? Need to verify the fuel pump, FPR, injectors are all in compliance.

Good luck, and please let us know what you find out once this is resolved!
Great info! Simple and to the point.

The 570 is MAF less, but I'm not sure if it's running a set map at WOT (open loop). I'll have to do some research and see if this specific ECU runs in open loop ever. If VF can't fix the issue with tuning, then I'll definitely have to do pressure tests to make sure everything is up to par.

Have VF responded to this yet? They've posted on other threads, but you'd think they would want to get to the bottom of this ASAP.

VF is taking care of me; all is well. I also ordered some new gauges that should arrive next week (AFR and boost).

Officially? I've nailed a 4.2seconds run in cold weather, before I knew how to launch, and tires weren't gripping
Theoretically? High 3's, with a monster launch on hot tires on warm road, with temperatures between 60*F and 70*F, lol
Mathematically based on my best run?

60' 330 1/8 mph 1000' et mph
1.86 5.22 7.93 92.16 10.23 12.170 116.42

plug that into here http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...alculator.html

and you get 3.97 seconds

I'm making about 400rwhp on that run

0-60 is a useless way to measure proper acceleration. All depends on 1-2 gearing. 1/4 mile or rolling starts are more accurate to display power

De-railing the thread, but if you want absolute best launch times you want either a racelogic traction control unit, or proefi traction control (which also gives you flex fuel and a few other cool features). I think both will also do launch control and flat shifting, where you can just keep it floored from start/between shifts.

Don't think anyone has fitted these to our ECUs though. Since those units cut fuel/spark, the built in ECU will see it as a fault, so you need a special tune. I think CA-Auto out of the UK can do the racelogic unit.

F430 is 20kg lighter, has NA 483 hp (roughly 410 wheel), 285 rear tires and significantly better downforce.

On paper with some supporting mods you could get close. In a practical sense, at that power level, it comes down to the faster driver.

yeah i was looking at the z4m in a different light this weekend. Im undertaking a huge logistical undertaking with the Carbon Fiber doors in the Cosmetic thread...should drop a solid 50 lbs off the car. FI will be my final step. I think if done right our cars can dive deep into supr car territory. then theres HPF.....lord knows when that will be finished.

cool, weight loss, some nice suspension mods, power last... i actually think dropping as much weight as possible, running the base kits, will yeild a more balanced car.... and a much less stressed one....

I've been enjoying the holidays with family. The kit has almost 1000 miles on it and is running great. I've also been working with an awesome photographer on something special.

Well, that's nice and all - BUT, we all want to know about the fueling issues!
Yes it looks good by camera, but I wouldn't run it on my car as the data shows right now.
The one negative VF has is the tuning history - and the blown engines.

I know it was outsourced in the past, and is now done in house. $ / HP, this is the best kit out there, but if it's going to damage the engine at high RPM, I wouldn't run it myself.

Please let us know what you find out!

Yes, all tuning is done in house (Past GIAC) and has been working exceptionally well. We have flash tuned multiple NA cars, a VF620 E92 M3, and very soon a supercharged E46 325i with VF software and have had no issues.

If there are any Florida members interested in pursuing a VF570 kit please let me know as I have been looking for a candidate to get one installed, dyno numbers, and get another review out for everyone. I know a lot of you are itching to pull the trigger!
