i have a wiring diagram for the 03-05 z4 to the 06+ lights. if anyone wants to try the conversion I will try and find it on my old computer.

Are you saying that the pre-facelift wiring isn't compatible with the facelift tail lights? If so, yes, please post the wiring diagram.

facelift tails won't fit on prefacelift bumper!

Yes, I've got a newer (>'06) bumper that I'll be installing, but I was responding to JRA's comment that the wiring is also different. I can't imagine that the facelift that was done also impacted the wiring configuration for hooking up the tail lights.

the 06+ use a different light module...I can't find the diagram but here is the thread that started it all (info starts getting sorted out around page 7) this is from a well respected german forum

No interest in the lights, but I am wondering what you put in place of the stock units? I didn't know there were any aftermarket lights available for the Z4M...
