So here's a long overdue update to Mstache 2.

After reading everyone's suggestion, I've made several changes to the original Mstache to create Mstache 2. The center section of the new lip has a thinner profile to increase ground clearance and approach angles. It'll be less prone to scraping. Mstache 2 will also come (unpainted) in a black gel-coat finish. It can be installed as is, can be painted or vinyl wrapped.

Here are some photos to the prototype. Bear in mind the production version will not be in grey primer. I'll create a new group buy thread for Mstache 2 when production nears. Let me know what you think and thank you for everyone's support and suggestions

Looks good, very nice work. Of course it really needs to be stuck up on a Z to give a better visualization of what it will end up like.

Keep it up, you might even make a rear spoiler to.

do you intend to do a group buy for version 2 ? or are you going to sell them individually? Also, did i miss the post that said how much these are going to run?

thanks.

Do you think it'd be possible to make a version that's less thick? I've already scraped the hell out of my RPI skid plates. I want to add a front lip on my ///M but I don't see how it'll last very long when it's 20mm thick.

Or maybe another version that has 2 separate fangs without the middle section altogether?

Fantastic Steve. I'm still running my mstache1 which is ripped to shreds. I think it gives the car character lol.

MstacheII will be great for when I lower my car.

This looks like a great improvement. Would it be possible to offer a special program for Mstache v1 owners? I bought one that lasted literally 2 weeks because of the clearance issues of which you speak. Interested either way.

Steve,

Looks good. Put me down on the group buy list. I Plan to paint it so the raw finish is fine.

Looks good. Can you 2-sided tape it to a car so we can see how it will look installed?

I'll create a group buy thread as production nears. The price for Mstache II will be about the same as the original Mstache, so around $270 if we have 12 orders or more.

Mstache 2 won't be any thinner than it is now but I can create a 2 piece lip just for the sides/fangs.

Mstache won't scrap as easily and will have just as much character

Sure, I'll give those who purchased the original Mstache directly from me a discount on the second one. I'll figure out the discount when the group buy thread is created.

It'll cost around the same ($270) if there are a dozen orders or more. Availability in ~5 weeks. I still need to make the mould.

I don't have access to a M right now. Pics of installed lip will come in the future.

He wrote its $270 and it increases clearance by 1". More importantly it increase approach angle because the nose sticks out quite a bit

Steve,

Where do we stand on version #2? It is starting to cool off here in hell so I am itching to work on mods and to sign up for a couple of HST days.

I had to have my Z4MC towed last week and the flatbed truck rubbed the lower portion of the spoiler trying to get the car on the truck. He also rubbed the rear mufflers ever so slightly.eeded I cant imagine lowering the front another inch. I have been wondering about installing air shocks to I could raise and lower the car when needed. Any opinions on that?
