The gift items that were mentioned, well, think about it; they're not going to be giving him cigars and whiskey at a nursing home. And frankly, though it sounds like a good idea to "us" a model of his car would only serve to remind him__if that's even possible__of what he can no longer do or have. That's if he even remembers what he used to do and mean to us as a collective whole. The last update I got was around January, and the good__lucid__days were fewer than the bad ones then.

Dale and his wife go up and see him occasionally, so ask them for suggestions on things that he needs, or would appeal to him.

Nice sentiment though, your hearts are in the right place!

While it may look like two old guys taking a nap, it was Ron and I checking out the first reinforced trunkfloor/dual ear differential mount in the US (a similar approach had already been tried in a drag-racing Coupe in Australia); HC05

I contacted a long time member over at BFC and a friend of Ron Stygar.

His reply echoed Randy Forbes in that Ron is "gone" as far as remembering anything or anybody.

Maybe we should look at possibly donating towards keeping Ron's website going.

In all honesty and sincerity, that would be the best way to keep Ron's legacy going. In that case, Dale Buening (sp?) of the PNW CCA would be the one to contact.

I'd really like to think that the national BMWCCA would be willing to help, but to the vast majority of members, our Zs (3s & 4s) are just some funny little cars, nothing to be taken seriously.
