What Did I Break?!?!?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and recently got an awesome deal on an OEM suspension from another member.

While installing the front right (passenger) strut/spring assembly, I noticed that I somehow broke what appears to be a metal sensor attached to a plastic arm...

I tried searching parts diagrams to figure out what it was, but I haven't had any luck...so, I figured that the suspension and BREAKING section was the best place to turn for help figuring out what I broke.

I've attached several pictures below (you can see the plastic piece in pic #4). Thanks in advance!

Ride height sensor for your headlights. This sends a signal that controls the height of your headlight beams.
