HID retrofit 05 Z4?

Other than the MTEC kits what else is there?

I read differing reports on the MTEC kits, what would you guys suggest? MTEC or something else?

Knock on wood, the MTEC kits have been running perfectly for me with no problems whatsoever.

I'm using ones from Eurodezign in mine. Everything has been running pretty good except for a wire that got cut that I had to replace.

yes well OEM's are not quite worth the cost to me, seems like the METC kit is the easiest plug and play and it doesn't cause the bulb out error. but their quality appears to be questionable

I just bought a used 2007 Z4 M coupe and love. I am getting an intermittent bulb out error and the dealer said the previous owner has installed higher output bulbs and this may be why.

Does anyone know the fix for this? I have no idea what brand was installed. I did a search and did not anything yet.

thanks

Today: Great Success! Not really a retrofit though since I put a HID kit into the stock hella projectors.

Probably took me about 7 hours total over two weeks to do a job that really should have taken about 2 if I knew what I was doing, haha.

6K bulbs, same kit they sell at EAS: ApexCone. Sourced from a great forum member!

Beam pattern, doesn't look at all like the OEM HIDs in my lexus but they work great.
