I was the nice guy before and I got seriously walked on and abused by my ex. The final straw was when she cheated on me. But believe it or not, we're still friends and she's taking me out for my bday. Maybe I'm still too nice for my own good.

But yeah, now the weird girl tells me she's joking about having a b/f.

Yeeeeesh... guess I'm still going to call her out this weekend.

all this time I've been ignoring this thread thinking it was about the $63 ticket hawkeye got 2 months ago !!

pbdm4k don't be the nice guy!! nice guys loose.

why would you want to be friends with your X. if your going out with friends wouldn't you rather go with guys for beers at bar/lounge/club to try to pick up girls? followed by some drunken madness why would you go out with some girl who treated you badly as friends.. its just going to bring back bad memories. been there done that. unless your getting friends with benefits forget an X.

It's like fishing... Gotta bait, reel, hook, release. Draw her in being a nice guy, then push her off before she thinks I'm too nice. Throw in a bit of teasing in between.

The whole X thing, yeah, kind of hard to stop caring overnight about someone you've been with for 3 years. But in all honesty, having a female wing is much better than using a bunch of guys to meet chicks. Less intimidating and easier to get conversations going.

Fight it. Sucks you're not in Toronto though. This city has such a lacking of JP's they're unable to book you into court to dispute your ticket so chances are it just gets thrown out do to an incapacity to process your dispute.

Well...it's a little complicated. I was parked at a meter after the meter hours, but the sign says resident parking 6pm - 8am. I got the ticket at 10 pm.

The thing that pisses me off of course is that I'm a resident, I own a condo a block from where I parked, but since I haven't registered my car in MA, I don't get the resident sticker.

I pay my friggin property taxes, and on top of it I have a $40 ticket to pay now, cuz of stupid sticker.

So, bring it to court, show them you're a resident and they should dismiss the ticket. Just give a good excuse as to why you don't have that resident sticker yet.
Do not pay the fine, go book a court date.

It should be an easy win, albeit a waste of time.

Yeah, nice guys lose at first.

You have to talk to her but act like you don't really care if you talk to her again. For some reason, girls like the chase as much as guys do. Be a semi-ahole for the first month or so, until you are dating, and then start being a nice guy. Girls don't like aholes forever, but they are strangely attracted to them.

What is the difference between bad boy and ahole? I think we might be talking about the same thing. Every "bad boy" I know is an ahole so it is the same thing in my mind.

I guess to clarify, being an ahole doesn't mean you have to treat her badly.

I interpret it as, be a little rough around the edges, make things fun and interesting for her, but when it comes down to it, treat her right.
