Safety Inspection Today
Taking the Z in this morning for it's yearly safety inspection. Wonder how much this will cost me. It is one year old, I've had it for 11 months, 3,700 miles. Found a missing valve cap yesterday. Wonder if someone wanted a souviner. Stay tuned for the $$

SC did away with safety inspections years ago and there has been no increase in accidents due to a safety item covered by the inspection. The inspection fee the state allowed to be charged did not cover the expense of the inspection so service stations quit conducting them and you could not get your car inspected even if you wanted to. Some stations, if you knew the operator, would slap an inspection sticker on without doing anything more than scraping off the old sticker.

All finished. That was the cheapest bill that BMW will have all day, $16.
One of my factory valve cap covers was gone, so bought a little set of the Rondels. Also got a can of winshield wiper fluid mix, like the smell of it. The ass'y cost more than the inspection. |
