HELP! Passenger side HID does not work

Hey guys,

My passenger side HID does not work. The DRL does.

I've tried new bulbs on both sides. I've also swapped the ignitors around and it works on the driver side but not the passenger side. So, the bulbs and the ignitor are ok.

Checked all the fuses behind the glove box, all lighting fuses are good.

What could be the issue?

Thanks

Check the fuses. I believe left and right side are fused separately....

Thanks. Which fuse am I looking at? 59? 60? The regular lights work on both sides. The HID does not work on just the passenger side...

Thanks bignosejim. I'll check that out. I will also check Part 3 Below to see if the other end is secure and not cut

You can also check for continuity between pin 34 and ground (the right headlight) at the headlight switch with the switch to ON and see if you get the same reading as pin 7 to ground (the left headlight). If you don't have continuity on the right and do have it on the left, you might need a new light switch.

Go to BMW Planet.com for a drawing of the circuit. It's under complete vehicle/ body/ lighting/ low beam light.

Can't cut and paste this one right now.

what you could do is swap the headlight and see if power from the opposite side fires up the headlights. it could be the ballast now
