Ultimate Pedals

Anyone have these?

http://www.ultimatepedals.com/

I've been eyeing these up to specifically get the gas pedal with the side extension for easier heel-toes

Thoughts?

I had them on my roadster, they're a top quality product.
Personally, I don't have a need for a side extension the pedal is fine the way it is for me.
One thing to consider with side extensions is it's (too) easy to catch the gas pedal by accident when hard braking.

We have these on both cars. Krissi's has the extension, and like inTgr8r said, it can be easy to catch the pedal on hard braking with the extension. (Krissi says she's learned how not to do this--think it takes some getting used to.)

I don't have the extension, but since even the regular pedal w/o extension is a bit wider than the stock pedal, it gives me a little bit more edge to work with when rolling my foot. The metal pedal edges are also a bit more sure-footed feeling IMO, which helps as well.

Here's a DIY I did awhile back with some great tips by inTgr8r.

I also run these and have had zero complaints.

One thing I did that is very unheard of.......I NEVER did drill and install hardware.

Nope.....this wasn't my first install of performance pedals on any given car and one thing I always did first after cleaning was to wipe all surfaces with Acetone and cover the whole oem pedal face with 3m's best double stick tape. (Makes drilling a breeze with no movement.)

Then carefully position the pedal and squeeze till dialed in place.

But THIS time....I had just placed the last pedal and grabbed my drill and the phone rang......I now had to drive an overnight run so I just cleaned up. I already knew the tape wouldn't move...at least for now.

ooops.......its been over a year and a half and they still have no screws and they've not moved a millimeter.

Normally I'd be the guy to post ....but thinking outside the box often requires the Guinny pig....so I said OINK !

I'll update the DIY later today to include the 3M tape method. Good to know!

Love them but need to get use to the extension. I have small feet and extension makes heal/toe much easier. I like it most it has grip when wet.

I wish I know about 3M tape. The install would be a breeze. The most difficult part is drilling the holes for brake pedal.

I have long narrow feet. That's where I'm at...Looks like these are the perfect thing for me.

Thanks guys!

It's funny how a simple idea makes so much sense.

I've never seen the Ultimate pedals pc'd, but damn those look good. Another option in case you wanted to see what else is out there.

Like the blk. Did the PC make them slippery when wet ?

That is one thing that is superb on these (plain finished)....wet...no slip !
But not so aggressive that they eat shoes.

I run these on my track car. I actually prefer to have a larger brake pedal (for left foot braking) then a wider gas pedal.

I called them up and they sent me a smaller automatic brake pedal, rather than the small one pictured above and it is awesome. I will be adding these to the z4m when she arrives.

I like 3m tape but I am not putting it near anything that decides whether I can brake or not. That's just me.

I think most of us agree...
I would only use it to hold in place to drill.
