Car cover recommendation
Can anyone recommend a universal car cover that fits a '04 roadster? I'm thinking something in the $50 price range. I'm only going to use it to cover the car when I need to pull it out of the garage once a week to do my yard work (so I can easily access my lawn mower and other lawn maintenance supplies which are stored in front of the Z4).

Keep in mind that unless you make sure your paint is freshly cleaned before putting the cover on, you're better off just letting it get dirty. If you put on the car cover with anything other than freshly cleaned paint, you're adding a shitload of scratches.

I'm not familiar with generics but every now and then a used OEM cover comes up on the classified section here. Usually in decent shape at a good discount.

Good idea. I've never used a car cover before, but this is my first convertible. I live in the woods so I'm worried about pollen and tree sap falling on the ragtop if I leave it outside. I usually wash my car every other week, but since this one is so small I think I can give it a quick weekly cleaning with Optimum No-Rinse.

For that price, Amazon is your best bet. Why do you need to cover it for such a short amount of time? I have a form-fitting Covercraft for our X5 that sits outside daily but that's probably way out of your budget for how little you use it.

If you want a cheap generic cover get one at Wal Mart. The grey material looks exactly like the stuff used on the OEM cover I had for my Boxster.

There is someone that makes one of those. I think you can find it on RoadsterSolutions. Otherwise google for it, it definitely exists and isn't that hard to find. I looked at buying one before I had a garage.
