Im going to guess very low 4s to 60 and there is mid 11s in this car all day long, with proper tyres who knows!! What i can tell you vt2 will break something unless the drivetrain is beefed up....... Trackwork, fine, general beating fine but the drag strip will damage something, my car will never see the strip....

roffle, have you actually ordered the vt2 kit??
you REALLY need to pop over to my other thread "detailed vt2 pics" and you'll see al the parts..... you will also see some of my tweaks that ive made to just further protect things, one thing i can tell you, aside from performance, the kits fits in the engine bay like o.e.m, not a single hole is added to your car and when you drive the car, lol...... you will laugh out loud!! time to get to my thread for some detailed indepth images, its also very good to be familiar with your kit as i actively maintain my s/c kit...... remember to pick up some supercharger oil, you car will also take an extra litre of engine oil... oil temps will now be cooler than stock and much more stable.... dont forget a boost gauge. roffle, i can promise you, youve just turned your car into a supercar slayer :-) i hope youve got a BBK, your stock brakes will simply not handle vt2.

I didn't order it yet, I'm waiting for my bank to send me the check first, but I already got approval. Probably placing the order in a week + 2 weeks to get the kit in.
I WAS going to wait a year or 2 more, but my bank told me I have enough equity, so i said, "fuck it" I saw your thread, and have been up to date on my reading with everyone else's impressions. I'm hoping my ceramic coated euro headers will give me a slight edge over the other applications here. I don't plan on going much past 100mph on the streets, so I think a stock brake setup with upgraded pads/lines/fluid should suffice for now I'll have to shop around for a boost gauge, I don't wanna half ass it, but also don't have $1k extra in my budget for a really good one I'm waiting to see where you locate the oil catch kit. Future mods might include a CF driveshaft, seats, bbk, ltw battery, and crap like that. But this kit should keep my power needs satisfied for a while before I do other things

ok cool.....
your coated header wont see you any performance benefit in the s/c application, a freer flowing exhaust will do however. i hear you on the gauges, to do it properly costs a fortune, i spent around $2250 for my setup, but again perfection was the only way i would put something in my interior. use this time to go over your braking system, also good tyres is a must, i can spin my Pilot super sports at will. Roffle, your about to have some serious fun, i cant tell you how much i love recieving the ESS box!! When you have the vortech v3 si in your hands you will simply not believe the size of thsi blower!! its huuuggeee!!

I do have a question: If you don't take your car to the track or do autocross, only drive it on the street, why would you have to upgrade the brakes when you do a SC kit? Just for the look?

Imo a bbk is a must even with a street driven car. I use every drop of the vt2 kits power and i need serious brakes to stop me.

I know we're drifting OT here, but have you had any knock back issues with your BBK on the track?

I have 265 wide hankook ventus v12s in the back now, I don't expect them to be great in 1st gear. I'd like to eventually move to flared rear fenders and 18x12" wheels, but thats a few grand I don't want to spend right now I'm trying not to get TOO excited, since I didn't receive the check from my bank yet. Who knows what they might do last minute.

I hear the stoptech kits suffer from this.

hi dreamcast, the kit is rated 500 crank hp, my numbers were slightly inflated due to having slightly increased boost 1psi up on the normal vt2-500 kits, so in total im seeing 8psi @ 7900, i really want to get back to the dyno again to get some definitive numbers, my tuner gave me a printout for 450rwhp @ 8psi, with the 7psi it should be producing im guessing it should be 420rwhp.......
pullies arnt exact science so i just happened to get an 7.6-8psi pulley, it could have easily been 6-7psi.... either way performance is brisk to say the least, im rather happy with the extra psi i got for free!!! lol AFRs are nice and safe also :-)
