Automatic shifter knob?
My 05 automatic shift knob has leather on the sides and silver strip in center. The silver part is worn like some previous owner tapped on it while driving with rings on or something. Anyway I would like to repaint it, does anyone know if that just pops out of there?

Not sure about the auto's, but the manual ones with the metal do not come apart.

If it is like my old E83 X3, push in the button that allows it to move and pull up ad it should remove. I replaced my X3 auto shifter with an E46 due to the chrome flaking off the original.
