Thank you, I appreciate that very much! Take your time and enjoy the journey. For me there was nothing more exciting during this build than the day I picked the M coupe up from the dealer. At that point I believed the M was perfect and I would never mod it... famous last words

I guess what I am saying is enjoy it at every step; It is easy to get caught up in a modding frenzy and forget to take the time to truly enjoy these awesome machines

The funny thing is, I would really like to own another one that is mint condition and bone stock one day if funds permit

Cheers,
Chris

^ I think about that too....
Once I get a car modded to the way I envision it, it's almost a bit of a let down after that.
It gets to were I really have to resist modding just for the sake of doing something. (basically where I am now).

I can seriously see myself de-modding at some point to a mint OE setup.
Just look at my sig pic for example... that was pretty much an OE setup at the time.
Whats not to like about that!!!!

So true. I asked my mechanic what mod to do next, his answer: "just drive it!".

Thank you, it has been a fun build.
Staggered moving toward square. I have been stepping up slowly to see what I can get away with up front with my prefered suspension settings. I do not plan to go any less wide than 275's in the rear for traction/power reasons. Next set of fronts I run will be 265/35-18 and if I can get away with that I will move to 275's
265/35-18 Dunlop Star Specs on 18x9.5 with OE struts/alignment was not a problem for me. I just detailed it here

Thanks Ian,

I siad the same thing to my wife and she never misses the opportunity to remind me

I agree, this thing could come full circle and become a de-modding restoration project at some point.

your sig pic is perfect example of how bad ass our cars look and drive right out of the box.

Mine might looks like yours in a year or two

What is the car weight right now with all the weight reduction?

Yep, right now he's running a DKF prototype system.
And yes, the wheels in the trailer shots are the ARC-8s.

I've been waiting on those pics for a while. Thank you for satisfying my need. HAHA j/k

Serioulsy, though, the time you've put into this car shows.

I may have missed some write up, but have you tracked the RS3s?

Wow, thank you. That's saying a lot coming from you; your last build was insane! You found a good one for sure. Worse put a lot of love into that build. I have no doubt you will be taking it to the next level.

Thank you, It's great to here from you man!
The RS3's are MEAN!!! loads of grip. They don't make noise like the NT05's did so there is less audible feedback, but they kick serious tail!

This is one of those epic builds that is like a permanent reference thread for me.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of shifter and knob is that?

Chris, please gut your headlights. Since its bi-xenon, we don't need the other bulb, or much of the insides I think. Just add an 80mm computer fan to keep it from accumulating moisture. do it.. do it....

love the latest pics! I am trying to resist and keep my car a daily driver. However, I can see her turning more and more to a track queen.
