short shift

has anyone fitted a short shift im told the bmw performance one for the e46 will fit and seems good value for money, if so how difficult a diy is it

There are people on here with them, mostly I have seen the EEC (?) one... something like that, I know Plantron has one... or at least that is what I think his name is... damn I suck this morning.

It is UUC. Here is a link to a whr3's DIY page. About 1/2 of the way down there is the Evo3 shoft shift kit instal I believe. Hope this helps, it has a lot of neat DIYs.

I am using the UCC version and have been very happy so far.
The shifting is much more fluid.

got it, like it very much.
FYI install usually requires dropping the exhaust.

And dropping the heat shield... can be a pain without a lift. Also had the modified CDV (clutch delay valve)valve installed at the same time.

I had both the UUC and CDV modified valve done for a reasonable price, and the shop had it all done in 1.5 hrs.
