What is a hood scoop and what does it do??
Hi, i am definitely a newb when it comes to anything about cars, and was wondering what a air ram/scoop does??
Ive seen a few threads on people installing them and it got me curious. Im talking about the thing that i have seen people install right behind their front bumper grille if scoop isnt the thing im talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Blake |

It just makes the air coming in the grill go straight to the air intake. About the same as a cold air intake but probably a little more proficient and safer.

There is also a Dinan one for the 2.5 and 3.0.
It runs from about $225 - $350 depending on where you can find it online, and seems to work just as effectively as the RPI-made scoop for the M. |
