That is the M54B30 motor right? I used this DIY on my 325i and cleaned it all up. Ran a bit better. Should help you install it. http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=615503

Careful with the DISA. That orange gasket can get molded to the engine from the heat and when you put it back there can be a vaccum leak. Don't remove it unless you have to.

If you do get a vaccum leak, you can put some wheel bearing grease around the lip of it to seal it up. The grease is thick and will act like a putty that fills in the slight crack between the orange seal built into the DISA and the Intake Manifold. If that doesn't work, you'll probablly have to buy a new DISA.

Also those DISA do wear out and break. When they do, it is possible for the metal pin that is part of the assembly to fall down into the intake manifold which is extremely dangerous if sucked into the engine.

Thanks for the great input Blind
I cant access the link through my phone for some reason but I will indeed check it out when I get home.
The DISA unit is about 4 months new on mine since the old unit was completely shot.

Here is the link.

Thanks again Blind,
entire procedure took me 1 hour and 28 minutes
Car feels smoother at idle and feels a bit more throttle responsive.
Thanks again.

Cool, Glad it worked out well. That damn intake boot is a pain to attach to the throttle body. Hard to reach those hose clamps.

Believe it or not it was fairly easy to take them off and put them back on. All the clamps were very cooperative.
Even so I still turned them all facing up when I was finished just in case I have to get back in there later. Car feels great now! I cant wait to autocross it soon
I just wish I had an LSD but thats in the far future now... I think coil overs are my next thing.... But I must say...this is all hurting the wallet quite some. :/
Thanks again Blind
