she went in this morning!
pretty funny.... i didn't even have to explain the issue to the service advisor.
he looked at me and said "wow... i thought it was a diesel that had just pulled in.... and a diesel with engine issues". then my tech buddy came down to look at it, he was holding a copy of the service bulletin on the "VANOS NOISE" issue. i had to laugh, i told him you won't be needing that... once he started it up he agreed...."definitely NOT the 'VANOS noise' issue".... but he thinks probably a VANOS issue.... his gut is i'll be looking at a whole new VANOS unit... man, i feel better now just knowing it is something else, and that they need to address it with more than a bulletin hand-out.... |
