E85 Fuel conversion?

There's a gas station next to my house that sells 104 octane E85 fuel for about $3.65 versus $4.39 for premium fuel. I know that E85 cars have worse fuel economy, but its close to the break even point I imagine.

Obviously I'd pick up some good gains with my 8psi supercharger

I'd most likely need to run a standalone ECU + re-work my whole fuel delivery system, so I don't plan on doing this anytime soon. Still, it would be cool to plan ahead. Anyone have any info on non-turbo S54s running E85 fuel? Just how involved is it?

$4.39!?!?! ouch. 93oct is around 3.90 here.

there is a lancer evolution tuning company in town that tunes with e85 that gets amazing power with the boosted e85 tunes over premium. If a company could get that right on the z4ms i would imagine the power would be a very nice gain.

Actually I think I've read that you can convert some cars to e85 just by changing the spark plugs and a few other things..... But that was a while ago ....

here's the list I found:

Teflon braided fuel lines, Fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, fuel check valve, 100-300 micron fuel filter, and you will need Pro-EFI.

After all the money and time spent trying to convert it to run E85 you could just probably have gotten away buying more of that $4.36 premium gas.
