Evolve-R tune ownership transfer
Hey Guys,
I recently purchased an Evolve Carbon Intake kit that included the tune from a forum member. The kit was never installed and the tune never used on the previous owner's car. I'm trying to get a hold of Evolve in order to get details on how to transfer the unused tune from the previous owner to me so that I can get started on the intake install. Is there anyone that has gone through this that could give some info/details on the process? Thanks, |

Just email Imhran at evolve (real email escapes me,) and take it from there. I do t think there would be much of a drama if the tune/uploader hasn't been used yet.

Sent an PM to Imran. Also sent an email to support@evolveautomotive midweek. No response.
Am wondering if the response is slow or if they ignored it based on me having no reference to the item's original purchase. |

Maybe give them a call to better explain the situation? there must be some kind of ID number for the tune or ownership info with the PO's name.

Id say the response time says about all you need to know about a company. Glad I didn't go through them. Hmm that might be a bit harsh..
Hope you get some response mtx

Hey Guys!
Thought I'd give a follow up on this. I was able to get a response from Evolve with help from the original purchaser (NWMcoupe) of the Evolve Carbon Intake kit. Big thanks to NWMcoupe for reaching to Evolve and helping me sort out ownership status of the Evolve-R tune that came with the kit. So for future reference, if anyone purchases an unused Evolve-R tune kit from another member, it's best to have the original purchase help you reach out Evolve to sort out transfer of ownership. At least it worked in my case. =) It seems like the general experience of forums members here have been that Evolve's response took longer than expected. However, once the ownership of the tune was sorted out, my initial experience so far with their response has been more prompt. The turnaround on the stock file downloaded from my car was around 24 hours. The kit was installed on the car today and the Evolve tune loaded into the car. Early feedback I can provide so far is good; No Engine Lights; car runs smooth; car responds well to throttle inputs; have yet to experience any "hesitation" or stutter while idle from the car. Will need to log more miles and see how the car behaves. Till then so far so good. Oh yeah let's not forget the sound... the car wails like a banshee from 3k RPM all the way up. As everyone before has said... if you can swing it, doo eet! Unless you're going FI. |
