holy Crap! new engine and tranny mounts

Unbelievable what a difference the car is today..Just unbelievable..

So much more responsive and precise.. like night and day..

After I replaced all the bushes before, I was like , yeah it's a little better, but after completing the complete over haul, bloody hell.

Very happy, very very happy with the car now, also changed oil and filters, just wow. Over the moon. Had a AWESOME afternoon testing.

On a lesser note, EGT sensor rooted.. :-[

Great car though, I think this is how tight it must have been when new.

Nope, oem. I was a little scared about the vibration feedback from their tranny mounts, even from fast street. One engine mount was unservicable, the other rather worn, both tran mounts had def seen their best days over 130k miles, in the dubai heat. The box is now notchy as hell ;-) lovely.

I have the VT "street" mounds, and Rogue Engineering tranny mounts. VERY little additional NVH from the VT's, and big improvements in shift feel and reduced engine movement under acceleration.

^ This.
I did mine in 2 stages.
Did the tranny mounts first and had a little NVH that seemed to go away after a few KMs

I added the VTs later, and there was absolutely no NVH, just massive improvement in tranny shifting and in throttle response.

Wow thats cool that you got that kind of improvement from OEM mounts. I'm sure mint are a bit worn, I just didn't want to drop the cash on the VT mounts right now.

I'm assuming when you say replaced mounts, you just replaced the rubber hockey puck, not the whole metal assembly, right?

Correct, although many of us also replaced the 8 bolts that hold the brackets to the block, with "motorsports" bolts and Nord Lock washers.
Be particularly suspicious of the mount near the header with the heat shield over it.
I thought mine were fine until I removed the heat shield and found a big honkin' crack in it.

Yep, that one had failed completely. Pretty happy with end result.
