Just tap into the relay box in the engine bay.
Mine come on with ignition & time out with headlight delay.
5min job no extra parts.
What do you do with the old AE bulb? Do they remove the old rings completely? Any error lights on the dash?

They're plug & play.
They're bonded on top of old rings.
Tekarbon does all the interior mods to disable old rings.
no ID10T lights

What do you mean by headlight delay? My setup allows fade in/out the way I have it tapped to the interior courtesy lights. Remote option is like one of the perks to owning angel eyes IMHO. Unlocking car does fade-in, opening doors does fade-in, etc.

Is it possible to install a brighter bulb into the headlights to make the oem halos brighter?

For what it's worth I've never heard of this happening to anyone else but me.

It has been done before, but there's a lot of work involved, and overall the brightness increase was not worth the hassle.

There have been different ones posted from time to time.
There has also been some posts that Tekarbon has not been as good to deal with as they once were.
If they're still doing them, it's pretty good bang for the buck.
Mine are still great after several years.
