Largely due to the discussion here, I never actually got the coils. Consensus seemed to be that the stock coils are quite good. I replaced my spark plugs, which helped slightly but noticeably. Then I had to ship the car to ESS (at my expense—$1100! ) for further debugging, and they found an issue with the tune that was corrected and solved the biggest problem with my car.
Having the nicer coils would be an awesome peace of mind, but the cost-to-benefit ratio is just a bit worse than I can bear. Rather save for an exhaust system or new paint job . |

very much. I believe I picked up some mid-range power, but I haven't dynoed since I've had a boost leak with my initial install

supposedly the bavauto coils have upgraded internals over stock. I don't remember
