Please keep us posted on what the problem is. There are few worse sights than an Alpine White BMW being hoisted up onto a flatbed for transport to the dealership. Unless it's a BMW in any other color.

For offroading?

On a serious note, I hope this isn't terminal. Who performed the last service (Dealer, Indy)? Drain plug shouldn't break free like that--unless that's another "feature" this car has I don't know about.

Is it still under warranty (back to the "did the dealer do the service" question I guess)?

I think the engine mount bolt somehow damaged the hose(they mentioned)
but I did not hear any noice or feel vibration because ASA I saw the smoke
I went straight home (~1mi)
Im going to dealer tomorrow to find out

That has to be a first. Never heard of an oil leak from the bolts failing.

Maybe that hose in the 4th picture got kinked enough to cause it to split...

The photo in post #18 is an air hose, not an oil hose. The VANOS oil pressure accumulator and the oil line going to it are bolted on to the side of the passenger engine mount. It could be easily damaged if the mount bolts broke and this would result in a high pressure oil leak.

Which is exactly why the bolts should have been RECALLED, not just had a TSB...
