The clear bra will help immensely. My Z4 had it when I bought the car with 9,500 miles. Nary a chip on the car. It does a great job of preventing the road rash which accumulates over time. The body shop you choose should either offer it, or know where to send you. |

For comparison, a BRAND NEW bumper from Tischer sets you back about $350, plus shipping, plus probably around $300 for paint = ~$800 for a brand new bumper. |

yeah, i didn't even bother calling them back.
sounds like they "ship" out your bumper, which i imagine adds to the cost..... who is this "dent wizard" you speak of? (is it a chain, or are you just saying someone in that field of dent wizardry) |

Btw, depending on how anal you might be, something you'd want to consider when looking for a body shop is what sort of paint they use.
BMW sources paint from Standox, Glasurit, and Spies-Hecker, so they are the only three paint brands approved by the BMW certification program. Odds are, if the shop is using one of those paints, they do a decent amount of work on German cars and will probably fix you up properly. Downside is, they are almost certain to be more expensive. |
