*brand new* FORGELINE 18x8.5/10 WC3s (custom ordered, all satin black, 3-pc, forged)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
if you have serious interest, be sure to read the entire post. i feel that most questions have been answered.

they are brand new but not technically BNIB since they were removed from the boxes to be inspected. no tires were mounted on them. i do have a set of brand new hankook v12 245/30/18s and 285/30/18s for them, however.

unfortunately, at this time, i do not have really good photos of them. still, i figure that i would post up this thread. honestly, there is not much of which to take pics since the wheels are brand new with absolutely no blemishes. i will try to get better pics up soon.

these were ordered directly from forgeline back in 10/2010 specifically for e46 m3 fitment. iirc, it took about 3 weeks for them to be built to order after i put down deposit. wheels have been kept in their original boxes all this time.

full specs
*3-piece forged using 6000-ton hydraulic press
*satin black center, outer lip, and inner lip
*matching satin black engraved aluminum center caps with only "forgeline"
*black oxide coated ARP 12-point stainless steel bolts
*oem (type, seat, and length) bolts are the proper ones for these wheels

fronts are 18x8.5, et 35 mm
the outer is 18x1.5; the inner is 18x7.0
center bore is 72.6
forgeline reports fronts are just under 20 lbs
front wheels will clear e46 m3 355 mm brembo monoblock 6-piston bbk without a spacer and with plenty of clearance

rears are 18x10, et 27 mm
the outer is 18x3.0; the inner is 18x7.0
center bore is 72.6
forgeline reports rears are just under 21 lbs
rear wheels will clear 345 mm brembo monoblock 4-piston bbk without a spacer and with plenty of clearance.

reason for selling: i already have 19" LMs for my e46 m3 and decided to get a set of 19" E88s.

total cost of wheels was over $4400 + shipping
asking price: $3250 + shipping

some notes

** i will be willing to sell these wheels with brand new hankook v12s (245/35/18s and 285/30/18s) for $3750 + shipping. i will throw in mounting and balancing costs. for those are wondering about my selling the tires separately, i will not being doing that at this time.

** i am not interested in trades.

** buyer is responsible for paypal fees, if applicable.

** for those who do not know me, be sure to check out my itrader profile feedback on m3forum. my handle on there is "shadowless".

** these wheels are at a shop in the philadelphia area and will be shipped out directly from there. Pick up at the shop can be arranged for local buyers, of course. wheels will be shipped in their original boxes and packing material.

** i have been asked several times about forgeline. they are often and wrongfully mistaken for iforged. i will not relay my personal view of iforged, but here is what is a little about forgeline taken directly from their site:

Quote:
The Forgeline Edge

What makes Forgeline Motorsports the premier manufacturer of forged 6061-T6 aluminum custom performance wheels?
Forgeline Motorsports manufactures the world's finest custom-made high-performance lightweight forged aluminum street and racing wheels for the most discerning enthusiasts and the most demanding applications.

For over 20 years, we have applied our racing experience and passion for motorsports toward designing and building wheels that can withstand the extreme demands of sports car racing. With an unwavering commitment to strength and safety, we have earned a spot on some of the world's fastest race cars, including those in Grand-Am, American LeMans, SCCA Pro Racing, and virtually every amateur racing series in America.

Every Forgeline wheel is engineered using computer-simulated finite element analysis and tested beyond SAE standards using real-world load variables to ensure strength, safety, and performance. Innovative features like I-beamed spokes, hidden titanium ARP fasteners, meticulously-engineered centers, and complex manufacturing techniques (like those found in our flagship three-piece competition wheel, the GA3R) ensure that Forgeline wheels are strong, fast, and stunning.

Forgeline wheels are machined from heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminum that is forged on a 6000-ton hydraulic press. This forging process aligns the grain structure, reduces porosity, and increases uniformity in the material, creating the highest strength-to-weight ratios and the most consistent quality. On average, our forgings are 40% stronger than cast aluminum.

Forgeline's own in-house manufacturing and engineering capabilities also provide unmatched flexibility when it comes to vehicle fitments, wheel sizing, and custom finish options. Whether you need a wheel that is specially-built to accommodate your unique suspension and brake package, or you just want a custom color combination to express your own individual personality, Forgeline can get it done! We can even build completely original one-off wheel designs for prototypes, show cars, and creative enthusiasts who wish to have a truly original wheel.

And Forgeline's legendary quality and customer service is unmatched. The experience, dedication, and personal involvement of our hands-on company owner and our entire team of employees ensure that every Forgeline customer is confidently investing in quality, strength, durability, and performance with every purchase.

Thank you for choosing Forgeline Motorsports!
** yes, you can have the wheels widened and have specs adjusted, but no, i will not do that through forgeline before the sale. this is on you if you want that.

** note that it can take up to 1 week for me to get these shipped. the reason is that my schedule is getting a bit more hectic over the next few weeks. i just wanna put that out there so that the buyer knows in advance. thanks.

teaser pics that were sent to me:

thanks for looking.

additional pics and notes

unfortunately i have not found any pics of this wheel on an e46 m3. these pics may give some idea how they look:
